the porch/outside is macy's happy place. every morning she will bang on the front door and grunt. this $1 yardsale tunnel is a great addition to the porch, and macy just learned how to crawl through it!

we still call her baby macy sometimes...but this little girl is almost 1. I can't believe it!

 

7 years

happy 7 years! we celebrated early by going to dinner at a fancy schmancy place downtown. I had the duck, glen had sweet tea pork chops, and we shared fried green tomatos. it was delish. also, we got a picture of just the two of us. that seems to never happen anymore.

macy loves abby. like really loves her. they are like peas and carrots. abby loves being fed. so they make a good pair. wherever macy and food are there abby is also. these two...they kill me sometimes.

this little float was a $1. seriously the best toy ever next to the giant box that glen's grill came out of. i continue to be amazed by what entertains them.

party time {e.t. turns 3}

this year we had a little friend get together at the lake for e.t.'s birthday. we swam, ate cupcakes, played in sand, and had a blast!

three {emma taylor}

emma taylor turned 3 yesterday. she has grown up so much since 2. I feel like she is really a little kid and not so much a toddler. she loves her friends. she loves singing. she has taken to dancing and ballet moves if you can call them that. she is artsy and less active. she has finally mastered a jump with 2 feet off the ground. she talks about growing up and "reaching the sky". she dresses up. pretends to be princesses and animals. she loves her little sister. she talks constantly at home and is shy around new people. she could play forever in water. she is the happiest little girl. we love you emma taylor.

11 months {macy}

 

macy is 11 months! this year has really flown by. she is moving everywhere and she is fast. she climbs on everything, has taken a few unassisted steps, and likes to be in the middle of everything. every day she seems to be growing up and able to "play" with emma taylor more. she is a great eater and a great sleeper. she can say dada and occasionally mama. she can shake her head no and yes. we affectionately call her "mace mace". we love you so much miss macy!

lately e.t. has really been into ballerinas and princesses. she does her "moves" which are quite entertaining and I am sure not even close to what ballet moves really look like. maybe in a few years we will have to cultivate this love or maybe by then she will have moved on something else. for now its kind of precious.
