big girl

emma taylor is just big enough to ride in her stroller without her carseat. she is loving being able to face out and watch the world!

i feel like a mom

the other day i realized that i really feel like a mom. i never thought my automatic response to my daughter burping would be to hold out my hand to catch any spit up that came out, but that's what i do. i don't flinch when she pees all over my hand while i change her diaper, and i expect to have at least some baby spit on me at all times. oh motherhood!

in baby news...

this is really more for me so that i can remember, but i guess some of you might want to know...emma taylor has her first tooth! she started teething at 4 1/2 months and now has a definite tooth. i tried to get a picture but her tongue makes it impossible. it wouldn't have been a very good picture anyways!

{picking out the perfect tree}

tay-tay's tree

have i told you that we sometimes call emma taylor tay-tay? or tay-bear? or e.t.? never emma. never taylor. that would just be wrong. well, emma taylor has inherited my little pink Christmas tree. i think it fits perfectly in her room!

i dig it

well actually glen dug it. after not having water in our house for 5 days (luckily we were both gone) glen fixed it. how does a pipe separate like that while its buried underground? i have a much greater appreciation now for running water. there were so many times we went to the sink to wash our hands, put soap on our hands, and forgot there was no water. plus flushing the toilets was another obstacle...we have good neighbors who let us borrow water!
