play-doh

I have been meaning to get some play-doh for emma taylor to have for a sit down activity. I was lazy. thanks nana for bringing her some. she loves it!

emma taylor is quite the big helper or at least she wants to be. she always wants to know where macy is and what she is doing. she also always insists on waking her up if she is sleepy, giving her her paci when she may or may not need it, and checking on her if she is in the other room.

 

 

3 weeks

happy 3 weeks little macy! who is now a full 10 lbs we found out at our checkup this week. yep 90%. keeping up with her big sister. and don't let this picture fool you. she is NOT always this peaceful and sleepy!

 

a comparison

at first glance I thought emma taylor and macy looked a lot more similar. I guess that proves that a lot of newborns look alike. aside from their size, full head of hair, and lips I think they look very different. it will be fun to see who macy grows to look like!

2 weeks {macy}

macy is 2 weeks old. the first week with baby girl was so so easy. glen was home. my recovery has been awesome, and she was sleeping great. now the second week has come and gone. things got a little harder. I don't have extra help and have found that a newborn and a 2 year old can both be quite demanding. plus the endless night sleep {I was only getting up 1 time} seems to have ended. she has started sleeping like a true newborn...up every 2 to 3 hours...ugghh. I am so thankful that H came to help out for 2 days and that today is Friday which means glen will be home for the weekend. now it's raining. I have a 2 year old stuck inside banging a bat on the ground and making quite a racket, and I resorted to sticking macy in the swing to get her to nap. bring it on week 3!

newest member

 

we are very excited to join a new church plant {Columbia Presbyterian Church} this September. we have been meeting with the core group and look forward to services starting soon. we are so glad to have macy be the newest member so far and look forward to seeing what God is going to do in downtown Columbia. here we are with the pastor and a good friend of ours David. when we got home with macy he came and prayed for her. it was a sweet time and reminder that even at this young age we need to be fervently praying for our children!

emma taylor thought a little photoshoot was a great idea! too bad she didn't understand it was a photoshoot for macy. i am not sure macy will get many pictures by herself, but i guess that is what comes with being a little sister.

 

 

 

 

first walk

 

i feel 100x better this time around compared to when i had emma taylor. it's a good thing too with an active toddler around. we already went on our 1st family walk. although glen did push the stroller and walk the dog. all i had to do was carry little macy in the ergo. i don't know when i will be brave enough to take both girls and the dog alone but i can assure you we will be taking many family walks after glen gets off work!
