day trip to g-ville

emma taylor and i spent a day in greenville this week. i am so glad it is just a short drive which hopefully means emma taylor will get to see her cousins often. i am a bit jealous of their downtown complete with awesome park with fountains! plus they are within walking distance. emma taylor enjoyed playing with her cousins, riding in the stoller, and splashing in the fountains.

all over and standing

emma taylor has been scooching quite well for awhile now. she has, however, stayed in the vicinity of her playmat until now. now she is giving me quite a workout moving her or things that she may get into (like the dog's water bowl). she has also started pulling (or trying) up on things. her little arms aren't quite strong enough to pull all the way up so most times she gets half way and looks reminiscent of the chin-ups we all probably know to well from elementary school. she also hasn't figured how to get down from standing. she usually gets quite upset when she has decided she has stood long enough. all this means we have to do a lot more baby proofing and we can't leave ANYTHING out on the coffee table, side table, or bookshelf.

this pic is a bit blurry, but what can you do when your trying to take pictures of your sleeping baby? you certainly cannot turn on the light. i love that she is sleeping on top of her lovey. she is definitely attached to it.
